Yesterday me and my sons stopped at a gun store to look around, told them I wouldn't mine having a 9-m small semi clip fed pistil, didn't my younger son get on me about that, it's not a clip it's a magazine, I go know a magazine is something you read. Then I said like to have one with a safety lever for when the round is chambered, then that started another argument between my younger and older, younger firmly says you want a (Striker Fire) or something like that I think he said, my older says NO you want one with the hammer to pull back then set the safety, that's what my older has and my younger has that striker fire thing, just rack it or something, so they went back and forth and still cant agree. Me, all I'm used to is revolvers, so I have plenty of time to choose, I wont get one til next spring.

That's just a stupid assed thing which people say to try to show their superiority, and also a complete bunch of crap. The magazines for my Savage 99 are all stamped with "Clip for .308 .243 & 250-3000."
If that's good enough for Savage Arms, it's good enough for me.

I don't see it happening overnight in this country. However if there was an outright ban and forfeiture, like there have been in other countries; with penalites, including serious jail time; how many of you would actually stash your guns away? Even if you did use them later for self defense you are going to be in more trouble than the criminal you are defending against.

The next 20 years are going to see some changes, as a new generation takes control. A lot of things such as the electoral college have bullseyes on them; people don't like the very thing it was designed to do. We also as a nation aren't as inclined to take control of our destiny as our ancestors were.

I will try to curb my disgust for the entire scenario.
It is rather unlikely that I will make it to 99.

What I can't understand is, how in the world do things that aren't even mentioned in the constitution, even become a constitutional right. ?
Yet, things that are written in the constitution (in black and white) are somehow not a right and should be restricted ? Ie, ''the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed''

I'd sincerely suggest looking at the K model Dragoneggs requirements if you're looking at Dead Air for a dedicated .223 can.

The K model is 5.4" long and comes in at 12.8 oz (and is still rated for 30 caliber).

ANYIME I have boys shooting a AR or other centerfire supersonic round using a suppressor, mandatory hearing protection is always used (mine was literally shot decades ago so I'm more careless shooting by myself at times without hearing protection, just being honest). For some reason, people think that 135 decibels is hearing safe, and you can read gun rag or blog writers writing a review informing you that if a supressor comes in at 139 decibles, it's hearing safe. News flash, it's not. That said, a supressor will get more sales if it's deemed "hearing safe" over a suppressor that is not "hearing safe".



Generally speaking, if you can hear the bullet striking a "soft" target (such as a tree or wood) within 100 yards, it's pretty quiet IMO. Anything supersonic I genearlly don't hear the bullet striking.

This is kind of where hollywood has really misled people with suppressors in the movies. Other than using a .22LR subsonic with a suppressor, no centerfire suppressor is "hollywood quiet".

Now, the HUGE advantage IMO is when you're further away from someone using a suppressor on a supersonic centerfire round. World of difference IMO even 10' away from the shooter without hearing protection (no sound concussion at all IMO), let alone the huge difference if you were in a home 200 yards away.

The "rifle" is the receiver...that's the component that makes a semi-auto an "assault rifle". And, the receivers do not easily sway into an M-16.
So, suggest you redefine "fool".

And a semi auto is NOT an assault rifle.
