That's the way to do it, in fact I think you were partly behind my inspiration to build my "racks". I took a slightly different approach to the design, but still the handling is down to just twice other than the final stove loading making it 3 times grabbing it instead of 5 or 6.
The folding for storage is why I liked this design.
They hold about 90 cu/ft each and I have a dozen of them built and filled now. I figure I'll use about 6-8 of them per season so I'll be building 6 more to always be a year ahead with a "cushion" of a rack or two. It still amazes me how much they settle (shrink) after a year of so of drying.
