How much is a warranty worth?

Well things got a bit sidetracked. The dealer offered me $14k for my Mahindra 5035 with 360 hours on it. I'm not gonna give it away!

My Kioti dealer said upfront that he can only offer wholesale on my trade (which is basically half of retail). It is worth more to me to keep my Mahindra 3616 if I can't sell it privately.

In the early days of lemon laws for cars, dealer did not have to say the used car was a buy back required by lemon law. Most new owners reported no problems with the cars

Is there a "Lemon Law" on tractors?

What is a warranty worth? The real answer is not much if Kioti decides that the problem was caused by the owner and not a defect. That can include running bio-diesel in your tractor, using either to start it, welding on it without disconnecting the battery cables and on and on. You need to read the list that they have on their warranty page. Some things they list like no fuel additives will be contradicted by the dealers in cold regions as you need to use some kind of fuel thinner in the winter up North.

List it on the tractor forums, Facebook marketplace and any local paper before you give it away to a dealer for 1/2 its worth. Trading it in for that low price would be insane.
