2015 Kioti CK4010HST
I bought the Kioti 3rd function kit for my 2015 CK4010. The dealers won't ask you for your serial number which is a bit of a red flag, but read on...

Kit is well designed and reasonably priced, IMO. $740, plus tax and shipping for me.

The instructions are beyond horrible. Multiple pages with the same or slightly varying information, often referring to model numbers that seemed irrelevant (TC220?) The drawings are poor (no photographs of the close work) and the translation to English isn't good. In my kit several things weren't as the instructions suggested. The nipple to mount the rubber line from the valve to the 3rd function valve came with a grooved nipple with an O-ring installed. The instructions didn't really mention this other than in the layout diagram. When I figured out what it was for and installed it, the O-ring was crushed and pushed out of the fitting. I thought maybe the male to female adapter that was present in the valve needed to be removed and the nipple installed in its place, but the nipple was too large to install there. Now, my rear remote lever with the detents hits the fitting on the end of the rubber hose that was installed into this adapter. I use this for my backhoe and am not sure if this will still power the hoe in the forward position (it hits when placed in the rearward position)

One of the hoses indicated for the run to the new 3rd function valve was too short to reach. The other, slightly longer hose only had a angled fitting on one end which meant the other end, when mounted to the hard pipe you install, has a tight angle that I don't like. You can't put the straight fitting end on the new valve because the hose will crush against the inside of the new valve's protective box they include.

Power is to be drawn from a connector they claim is in the harness at the rear near the frame. My harness had no such connector so I used the wires that had bullet connectors on them (up by the fuel tank/rops) that are there for an optional light. I cut off the connectors on the power pigtail they included and installed my own weatherproof connectors and left one connector there for future use.

I didn't need to remove my seat, but the instructions don't make this clear so...I removed the seat and another hard pipe that I had to reinstall once I realized my mistake.

They don't include a new, longer bolt for the hard pipe mounting bracket so you'll need a 65mm 8 X 1.25 bolt for that.

The wiring harness is a lot longer than it needs to be. A minor annoyance as the extra is tucked inside the steel box the valve is installed into.

There's no mention of using pipe dope or tape on the fittings for the quick connectors. Most of us will understand this is required, but I'm sure some didn't or won't and will be surprised when things leak at first use.

It's a good kit that would be excellent with a little attention to detail. This is the second kit from Kioti I've had issues with. The linked pedal kit came with one hole untapped on a bracket. Not something most homeowners will be able to resolve on their own. I've spoken to a few others with different year tractors that have not had these issues so it may be due to running changes or model year changes.

This is the offending fitting. The adapter was there from OEM. The top of the hard pipe that connects to the rubber hose stops the detented rear remote lever from moving all the way back now. Maybe there's another way to do this or just leave it since it isn't leaking....yet?

I was similarly unimpressed with the instructions. Mine went together ok, but I have a fair amount of mechanical inclination. I had an issue finding the electrical connection as well, and found two connectors that matched. I had a fifty-fifty shot, so I picked one, got it wrong, and then used the other one. In the end, it took me 6 hours for what should have been a two or three hour job. Again, the kit was fine, but the instructions were extremely, extremely, extremely, disappointing.

I wish I could have found the connector, but it's not there on my 2015. Worked out for the best as it forced me to make the new harness for my lights, install the switch, relay, etc.

This made me glad I paid my Dealer a couple hundred to install my Kioti 3rd function kit

Mine would have installed it for me, but he didn't have a kit in stock, and I didn't want to haul the tractor back to him to install it. I did learn quite a bit installing it....like to have the dealer do it the next time. :)

I HAVE 28 ACERS I PLAY WITH, NOT A FARMER. MY DS DOESN'T HAVE 3RD FUNCTION OR REAR REMOTES. I THINK I'M GOOING TO PUT A REAR REMOTE KIT IN IT AND JUST RUN LONG LINES TO IT FOR THE FRONT IF I NEED IT. I WOULD LIKE A GRAPPLE OF SOME KIND. . IT'S ON THE SCHEDULE FOR "SOME DAY"

That works, but it's a pain in the arse compared to have the controls on the loader stick for the grapple.

Can someone share the part number of the Kioti 3rd function kit. I am looking to put one on my new NX4510HC. I like the factory loader handle that is in the cab model and would like to keep that if at all possible.

The kit has a replacement handle with the buttons on it. It's significantly different than the factory loader handle, but you may be able to modify it if you're creative and very handy. I thought about it, but the new handle operates the loader the same...just looks and feels different.

I bought the John Deere handle, shaped just like the factory one in my NX , the shape and button placement is very comfortable.

I do agree that the JD handle is extremely comfy. My dad's 3046R has this handle and it is rather intuitive on the button layout. The NX I test drove prior to purchasing mine was 'acceptable' but not as 'natural' feeling as the JD UP/Down button location via the thumb. If this is something I cannot get accustomed to the pointer & middle finger layout I'll for sure be switching it over to the JD handle if it's only a $75.00 switch. I did not even think something from JD would be that cheap, lol.

What are the actual JD part numbers in your cart? The picture will not blow up clearly enough to read them.

+1 on countrybumpkin's suggestion.
I used the JD grip as well and I love it.

There was no Kioti option when I added the 3rd function and there were things about the WR Long kit I wasn't a fan of either so I cobbled together my own.

I attached my write-up from my project below. It should have all the part numbers in it you need. I got them from that thread or one like it here somewhere. ;)

Good luck on yours.

I would ensure it's going to work like a true 3rd function kit. My DK won't curl and dump very well while lifting or lowering so I'm worried the 3rd function kit would do the same - so it basically acts like a a diverter kit where you loose your curl and dump feature while operating the open/close on the grapple.
