Kubota M7040 hydraulic squeal

Check the hand knob control valve under the seat that controls speed of the 3. hitch

IMHO the rate of drop screw will have no affect IE can't create a squeal if 3 pt isn't being lowered. Knob controls only rate of drop of 3 pt or if knob is closed completely locks 3 pt in set position.

Here's my thoughts. My 4410 does the same thing. A short squeal on startup. I've attributed that to the hydraulic pump cavitating for a few seconds till the hydraulic oil starts to flow through the system. I don't know for sure if that's what the noise is but that's what it sounds like to me. The noise is only present on the first start up of the day after not being used for a few days

That is it exactly, only does it on the first startup after sitting a while. Thanks for all the help and I guess I will not worry about it since it seems to be a normal thing.
