As for big cities that I enjoy, Rome is the only one that I want to go back to and spend more time there. It's unlike any other big city that I've been to in the world, and did I mention how much I hate big cities?

Eddie,
I assume you mean Rome Italy.:) Shellie and I were just there last week and I really enjoyed it too. The narrow little side streets really give it a different feel then other European cities. It felt very quaint to me.

I live 40 minutes North of Dallas and I try to avoid it like the plague. I have a customer in Addison (North Dallas) and they have me work out of their office from time to time. I hate it. I used to commute from Denton to Plano every day and it about killed me. One day turned into a 6 hour commute, because a banana truck caught fire across one of the bridges, blocking all routes home.

As soon as my kids go to college I'm cashing out and moving to Mason, TX

My intent was not about the traffic as much as to bring up that it's a really horrible experience driving anywhere in the Dallas area...

Ditto to everything you said. I am from Chicago, have driven in Boston and NYC, and I can say without reservation that Dallas has the highest percentage of dangerous whack-job drivers than I have ever seen. Some good news though, as of a couple of years ago, Google Maps navigation works really well in the metroplex, almost to the point that it's spooky.

How long is the drive from Dallas to the Alamo?

In North Carolina we call it the state fire.

Caused some confusion between me (a Darn Yankee) and a customer when we were outside of Atlanta and he was going to the state fire. I asked him about where all the firewood comes from and he looked at me confused. Afterwards after we figured each other out we had a good laugh over it.

Yes, living in Dallas is good, and there are no problems with work there. I lived in Dallas for about 5 years, but now I decided to radically change my life. This was probably my craziest decision, but I decided to move to Vanuatu. Now I am already in the process of drawing up documents for citizenship, these vcgarant.com/grazhdanstvo/kariby/vanuatu specialists help me in this. I hope that everything will be alright. Do not be afraid to change your life - all for the better

You're pulling our legs, right? The place you name and the link are two different places. If you haven't lived on the island before moving there, you are making a huge mistake. I had the same experience after visiting St. Thomas USVI...most beautiful place on earth; thought I could retire there. We rented a home and spent a week there; after that week, we had seen about everything and I came away knowing there was no way in he77 that I would ever move there. Good luck if you're serious; good joke if you are pulling our legs.
