TC29D Won't Start

The issue was a loose wire on the left side that effects a kill switch. I think this is either related to the PTO or clutch. It still is a bit ify and may need to be soldered or replaced. Some WD40 for the moment has helped with any corrosion that may have kept the wires from full contact.

There are several safety features on this tractor series, so it appears these wires need to be well taken care of or else the tractor can stop at any time.

Those leads are PTO/Gear sensing switches, one each. I disconnected mine once (brush hogging) and when I tried to start the PTO light stayed on. Made the connection and back in service.

My dog chewed those wires into and I had to wire them back together. They could use a little more protection.

Sounds like either wires need more protection or a muzzle for the dog:)

I have a TC29D and have worked on many areas of the tractor. The neutral safety switch is under the left fender and on my 2000 it is a switch that looks like it is no serviceable. Well never tell me I can't take something apart. I removed the rubber boot and cleaned the switch contacts and put it back in and adjusted it and it worked fine. A lot of these tractor parts are made by someone else so look around and sometime you can find them for sale much cheaper.

My New Holland TC29D will not start. I have been having trouble with ignition switch so replaced that but still will not start. I have a new battery and have checked the main fuse and that is good. When I turn key on do not get idiot lights. I have checked the battery connections and ground and that appears to be okay. After I put new battery in it started, moved it from barn to driveway, turned it off, and that is where it sits. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

Sorry for a late reply, hope you have already found the issue but it sounds like blown fuse somewhere.
