That was a nice drop, Gordon.
I do have to ask: are you expecting a flood? Those are some seriously "high-water" chaps.
If a tree is in good shape I keep it for a boundary marker. Looks like the ants already headed south from that dead stump, and the ruining from that tree was excellent acting or was you showing off how young you are, me I only walk away then the tree has to atleast 2' on the stump with no hinge, like seeing someone using a saw with PPE..............
I saw this in a doorway display of a store in the city today. Amazing what people buy.

Made a new firewood holder. Plastic pallet, 2x4's and welded wire fencing. Will be able to move it with the tractor forks. Should be strong enough. Thinking about adding a ratchet strap or rope around the top of the 2x4's. I split the poplar and my favorite helpers loaded the rack! Team work makes the dream work!

I hear you on the 'high water chaps'. They are the first pair that I ordered from Labonville and their sizing is different from what I was used to so I ordered the wrong size. I decided to keep them for a year rather than deal with the hassle of returning them.
The first pair of chaps I ever purchased was like that. I mistakenly thought the length measurement was an inseam measurement, In fact, most measure from the belt line to the bottom of the chaps. (Chainsaw pants do go by inseam measurement.)
I would rather have an undisturbed survey pin that is shown on certified lot maps than a tree with red paint on it for a corner marker.
