Speaking of Echo, I had a chance to buy NEW 590's with bar and chain for $299.00 out the door.
I almost bought one, but I sure don't need one, so I passed!

Considering how poorly that my 545 ran over the course of the three years that I had it, I will pass on another autotune carb. Aside from the money, it really didn't break my heart when that log rolled onto it.No matter how you slice it the 550xp has more power but is it worth the $150.00 more...........

Those guides are all nice if your lengths are consistent and there are no forks in the tree.
Would sure be nice to only start with clean, straight 4 ft lengths that then give U nice even 16 inch firewood.
Problem is my trees don't adhere to those rules.

So far my new 550xp runs lot better then my old one, and at $600.00 it will break my bank if I roll anything on it, that's why for the most part I'll use my Echo more. I haven't used my new 550xp since last March so it started harder then I thought it would.
