Re: Big Barn痴 Retirement Farm Shop

This is what I pulled to Oklahoma. This week I'll pull my 20K GN with two Buggies.

The exhaust manifold on my SA Junior had been repaired by a previous owner

and consequently the vertical exhaust pipe wasn’t perpendicular.

I didn’t think it was really going to bother me but as it turns out it did. I notched out the pipe with my extended reach cutoff tool

Warmed it up with the torch, pulled it straight and welded it up.

A happy end to an exhausting day

I try Terry. That's not my buggy. My friend's. His trailer is a bit small so he hauled mine and I hauled his. Sure made me look cool didn't it.

Re: Big Barn痴 Retirement Farm Shop

As long as you are below 1250 on the pyro and around 180 on the trans temp you are good to go. Long live the 7.3 .:cool2::drink:

I haven't saw the trans temp past 150F. Mike added a very good external cooler.

To get the pyro to 1200 I'd hafta push it hard up a long hill. Normal temp was 800ish.

I got a start this afternoon making receiver sockets for welding cable holders.

Drilled and tapped for setscrew

Welded on mounting flanges

Squared and plumb. Tacked to frame. I’m not totally sold on the concept and location yet so I’ll probably think about it overnight before welding it up.

Re: Big Barn痴 Retirement Farm Shop

Which one goes farther before getting stuck? :)

We took the SxS just for a spare to run errands if needed.
