What happened to Soundguy?

/ What happened to Soundguy? #151
I have had a fondness for 8N's since my father in law gave me his 35 years ago, wish I had never sold it

Yes I actually enjoy this little 8n tractor I purchased. They seem to just keep on running. It is too bad the guy that previously purchased it did not understand anything about what he was doing. He sandblasted and painted the whole darn tractor including all the motor and everything under the hood. He thought fresh paint would improve the price. I paid $1000 Canadian but did have to make it run properly and find a spare front rim and tire..that ran $150 for rim and tire both used but appear like new.

Hope soundguy is still with us, or had his real retirement package in order.

I cannot remember his name, and maybe he was mentioned somewhere here.....
The old cowboy in AZ, loved to read his stories....
A few people tried to run him off of TBN before he passed

Your not refering to Crash325 are you Sir ?

I am not sure what all of the "hating" on the 8N is all about on here, is it a highly sophisicated modern tractor? NO!, but it sold by many thousands back in the 40's and 50's and many many people have done a LOT of work with them.
They were simple and dependable, fairly easy to work on and helped make America great!

Like I have said before, I liked my little 8N and enjoyed almost every minute on it.

Never needed 4 wheel drive, and if I had not owned it, I probably would not have ever started reading Soundguys posts

We have one, a 52, in the family. It was my primary tractor on our 50 acre horse farm for 2 years. My uncle using it now to keep his property cut. Reliable and simple tractor.

My second tractor was a front distributor 8N and it was great for what it was. For it's era, it was state of the art. I would not know what I know now were it not for that tractor.
I'll bet half of them are still running. Maybe not used daily, but capable of it if needed.
