Photos from the Pisten Bully rehad shop. 1st photo is its three pumps power by a 370hp Perkins. Many bullys have more pumps than three. This was the hub greasing job so the idlers needed to come off.

The 400s I ran last year had Cummins engines. Nice machines, lots of fun to drive. Kinda sad I'm not doing it again this year, but the pay was not so fun. :/

If you guys have interest in this, I could start a thread about the PB-400's preseason preparations. This outfit I work for has 5 of them, sorta anyway. 4 in the shop today but a new one is in transit.

Ops! These straight 6's are indeed cummins. I will start a new thread dedicated to my work on these PB 400s.

Predictions for a couple-3" in the next few days, so here's my chance to try out the snow edge for the first time.

Had 3" last night, but the drive so warm that the snow melted quickly. Nothing to push other than wet leaves that came down with the snow load. But the ground stayed covered all day.

Hope your snow edge performs well for you. Will look forward to some pics.

I've got a moderately large driveway. I still enjoy shoveling :)

Put chains on the JD X485 today.. ready for some snow again. Holding off putting on the 4300 snowplow until after Thanksgiving. I see by this pic that the X485 is in need of a good cleaning. Got dusty sitting in the shed.

We got dumped with a grand total of 3 inches in 2 storms lol. Did not even start the tractor with blower or my side by side with plow. Basically drove the car back and forth down the drive way to flatten the snow to make a nice base for when we do get a whopper.

Just got myself set up. New to snow plowing. I have a 1300 ft gravel drive, of which 600 ft of it rises 120 ft. . Need some advice from experienced plow guys. I planned on driving down the middle of the drive from the top with the plow straight. Clearing the level area at the bottom and street side. Then driving back up the middle that was plowed and go back down on either side with the plow angled toward that ditch. Is this the correct way or am I missing something. I have to put some pics to honor the thread title so here they are.

If the drive is more than 2 blade widths across, the middle pass is probably needed.
Good thing you have 4 wheel chains since your tires are so worn.
