They want to put an effing crane on my finger.

How the am I supposed to sleep with an effing crane on my finger?

Sleep on your side and put a pillow next to you. Prop your arm up on the pillow.

I just came out of 2 months in a cast for a broken finger with pins in it. You get used to it. Except for the part where you roll over and smack yourself or your sleeping partner in the face!

A cast don't stick out trying to hoist the sheets off the bed every time you toss or turn. And then there's trying to get dressed.

How do I grease that crane? I don't see any zerks on it.

The cast had pins sticking out of it with minimal padding. It went from mid-forearm and completely covered my fingers. Whack a couple pins in the middle of the night and tell me they don't stick out. Then have the cats decide it would be fun to play with it at 4:00am.

Maybe I missed it. What is that crane supposed to do? Do they make one for a working mans hand, or is that just for a TEXTING injury?

Has something to do with the tendon injury. Not really sure just what yet.

Doesn't look like fun. But, humans are adaptable. And, though it looks intolerable, we usually find a way to deal with it.

I once had a severe finger injury. I finally discovered if I took the belt from a robe, and tied a pillow around my lower arm with my hand sticking out, it kept it up high enough to help stop it from throbbing, and isolated it from touching anything while I got some sleep.

I guess fifty cents of tape and a popcycle stick isn't expensive enough.

Harder to gouge the insurance company with the popsicle stick and tape. That fancy rig must have cost thousands.

Probably to keep it stretched out as it heals so that you spend less time at PT getting range of motion back.
