Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

So you put two cycle gas in your car??

Why not? The amount is inconsequential compared to the capacity of the tank and It's not going to impact anything anyway. All engines consume some crankcase oil anyway, it's an inherent fact of operation and crankcase oil produces soot and ash, 2 cycle oil (at least the quality stuff like the Stihl pre mix I use) is ashless so it burns in the combustion chamber and leaves no deposits.

Certainly no worse (or better) than the corn alcohol you are putting in there when you fill up (ethanol gas).

I use very little gas at home, one lawn mower, my 2 stroke stuff, and my sanders gas engine.
I have noticed over the years that my 2 stroke stuff usually starts even if it has set for 2-3 months or even 6 months with no issue.
For that reason all the gas that I get in cans gets a light dose of 50-1 2 stroke synthetic oil, a little bottle thats good for 2 gallons in a five gallon.
When I mix up my little 2 gallon can for the 2 strokes it gets the full amount on top of whats all ready in the gas.
I've been doing this for years with no noticeable ill effective.
If it's getting quite old and may not smell just right it gets poured into my wifes car or the old plow truck.

Yes I do use Stabil and Seafoam but nevertheless I still put unused fuel back into the can so that it gets used up sooner. I guess it could be left in the saw but I might go for months not using it while I do use the weed-wacker often. That's just my method and it works for me.

Picked up a new jack at Harbor Freight the other day (Friday),
the 3 ton aluminum floor jack, used it Sunday to put snow tires on my wifes Jeep compass and my RAM 1500,
that should hold any snow off for a while.:drink:

Greased up and hard faced the skid shoes on my 10 foot county plow, checked the hydraulic angle too. Then I put it back on blocks.....:D No point in tempting fate.

Something I just learned about my HF 5 drawer tool cart that makes me love it even more!

3 in. 5 Drawer Blue Mechanic'''s Cart

The one thing that sort of bugged me was the fact that (I thought) you had to have the top open to unlock the drawers. Not quite true. There is a 'second' position for the drawer latches. Open up all the drawers with the top open, then shut the top. The drawers can now be opened and latched closed without having to open the top. This way you can store some tools on the top temporarily and be able to open/close the drawers. Maybe you all knew this already... I admit, sometimes I can be slow to the party.

:cool2:

One of the best days of my life is when I sold the snow plow off my truck and moved out of snow country!!!

I did not know that, but the only time I close the top is if I go out of town for a while and lock everything up!

Just got this 20% off Icon tools in my email. It doesn't say anything about having to be used AT the SEMA show, but I have not tried it at my local store. I tried to upload it to the Harbor Frieght Coupon Database, but not sure if it made it.

Wish I had seen it before I bought my 1/2" torque wrench.
{EDIT} I guess it doesn't matter. It looks as though they just raised the price on that torque wrench by 20%. I bought it a couple of weeks ago for $99. It's now listing at $109. What's next? in a couple of months do they announce a big price drop... to $99?

I use the expensive premix cans of 50:1 gas. In 3 yrs nothing I use it in has failed to start. I use non ethanol gas for my zero turn. Gas with ethanol ruins small equipment
