I wonder if you can hook some com buss together on the Fords to make like a multi-truck Power unit. String as many together as you need.

Subaru Brat used to have seats in the bed of the truck.

I wonder if you'd be "grandfathered" in with that like cars that were made before seatbelts, 2 tail lights, and any other now mandatory safety requirements.

Depends on your state and how you have it licensed.
As seat belt and occupant regs are state regulations

Always nice to see something "Different" from the same as everyone else stuff. Funny how trends run everything. NO cupholders! Probably an ashtray somewhere if you look hard enough.

Saw this guy on my way to work this morning.
No tie downs of any kind, just kind of balanced on the toolbox.
It rocked when he came to a stop.
Probably a foot of clearance to the vehicle. Hope he wasn't planning on turning too sharp.
And those wheels, ugh.

Have to wonder if it got there when he braked sharply and he just didn't notice. Can just see him getting out at his destination and thinking, "jeez I put that in the trailer, how did it get there?"

That must be a new one, mine didn't have all that stuff.
Didn't have that stuff in the Army 3/4's or 2.5T's either.
A LOT of passenger miles logged in those.

Hanging out at the loading area at Lowe's or HD can be entertaining... best bet though is to set up a lounge chair and have you go at your favorite beverage at a boat launch.

I know it's an old post, but I was trying to catch up on the topic & saw it. One of my fondest memories is being about 6 or 7 & my step grandfather taking me to Jack in the Box then down to the boat launch in San Diego where he lived & we sat on one of the benches outside the bathroom building & watched people load & unload their boats for hours & hours. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard since. I mean there was everything from guys swimming after their boats that were floating away after he tossed the only rope up into the boat. Or the guy who left the truck in neutral with only the emergency brake on so now the boat & trailer are floating as the truck is up to the doors in 3 foot deep water. Or the guy who backs in too far, attaches the boat, and when he drives out of the water the boat floated off the side of the trailer.... Ha ha ha.

Not towing... But I'm shocked and amazed that the cops are letting this truck driver around with no actual bumper.

Boat ramps can be fun. To unload mine when I still had it I put the wife in it and backed down the ramp. She would start it and back it off the trailer. She would drive it back on as well. But it was a jet drive ski boat and a carpet bunk trailer. That works well with that set up. Otherwise you need to get wet as they don't just roll off.
