Got a swale by the driveway culvert from the highway to the field to direct water into the culvert.
I would like to fill this and add a vertical drain down to the culvert with a grate over it.
Similar to a riser but for a water meter but 3 feet high and able to percolate water from the sides if possible.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,Mike

I don't think anyone can offer much advice without seeing a picture or two. A meter? You lost me there.

I can only help for a pc. Click the third icon from the right. It should be self explanatory after that.

GREAT! So you want to level out the terrain and pump the water out?

Assuming this is on the high end of the culvert?
I think he is wanting to install a catch basin raising the grade (i.e., riser)...no clue why to allow it to perc water though...

What I want is to fill in around a catch basin that will allow water to flow into the culvert.
The culvert end in the picture is the high end so water flows to the other side.
It’s the catch basin I’m wanting to construct.
Sorry I’m having trouble making myself understood.
Thanks,Mike

I was thinking if it let water perk through the sides of the new catch basin it would drain water through the fill as well as surface water entering through a top grate.

Do you get ice and snow? That can be a game changer when designing such things. Spring thaw and all.

Personally, I am doing something similar and totally unable to find any surplus concrete storm catch basins or cast sewer grates. Frustrating!
