Well I finally got my TN60A delivered Friday and couldn't be happier. Quiet operation at pto speed, effortless steering, lots of power, lights and a cup holder... what else could you ask for. I have only got to put 3 hours on it since I work night shift and am on 12 hour shifts but tomorrow I have all day. The Woods 6'er makes a real fine cut but needed some adjustment to get the short cut I like. I cut an acre dove field of brown top millet in 2nd gear hi in about 20 minutes. The only thing I didn't like about it so far is the verticle exaust as I am accustomed to an underslung exaust and the draft control I do not quite have figured out as I have never had this feature before. The lift-o-matic is pretty slick and I believe will come in pretty handy while box blading. The bulb to the rear work light went out and while trying to change it I broke it off. Does anyone know how this bulb comes out... push and twist ccw or clock-wise or is it threaded. I will need to replace this. I had the front weights removed before I purchased it as I couldn't see any time I would really need them and the tractor is very well balanced with the 6'Woods and the only other implement I will be using that weighs more than it is a 6 1/2' disc but it will be buried up to the axles. I will try to post some pics but I haven't done it before. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

A really nice machine. Is that R1 rears and turf front tires? I think that's the first time I've seen that combination and it should really help with cutting the turf when you turn. The lift-o-matic feature is one thing I really missed after trading my TN65!

Horizontal exhaust is available; relatively cheap and easy to install. Place the draft control level all the way down/forward. Forget it is there until you hook up the disc harrow. It is not intended to be a benefit to anything except "ground engaging" tools such as a moldboard plow, disc, or cultivator.

It has R1 on the rear but i changed up on the fronts. I usually use tri-ribs but figured I'd try these up front. The tri-ribs would cut ruts at high speeds and sharp turns. These will not cut ruts they slide a little more. They seem to have plenty of traction when turning but I need more hours on them to know for sure. The dealer recommended them so I figured I'd give em a shot. I have never had a problem with the R1's on my 3600 cutting the lawn and I like the traction when you need it. I now have Industrials on my 3600 they seem to be good but not as much traction as the R1's in the mud. The fronts are not turfs, they are Titan f-3 contractors. They are the same tires on the TN60A cab tractor on page 5, lower right, of the TN-A series utility tractor brocure.

Mark,
That is one fine tractor! Hopefully mine will be delivered this week. I went to get a TN60A and was looking for 4WD. But dealer had a TN65 with 148 hours on it 2 WD and just couldn't pass it up. Noticed your Cub and we have a MF135, so getting a TN65 was a big step up, I assume that the TN60A was for you as well. I almost laughed reading your posts about how well it drives because Power Steering sure makes things nice doesn't it! I think these New Hollands are good Tractors and I know with the CUT that 4WD is almost a necessity but on the AG tractors, I know mine weigh's 5500 lb without the loader. That is sure a lot of weight. Always gotten by with 2WD NO Problems and think that with the improved Power and Weight that our 2 WD's will be just fine. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congratulations on a Really Nice Looking Tractor! Hope that it gives you Great Service and lasts a Lifetime!
