Good morning!!!!

We got our Sleep Number Bed about 2 years ago. We love it. Good luck.

We bought our first Sleep Number bed more than 30 years ago and after more than 20 years, my wife talked me into buying a new one, but the wrong one. It's not really bad; just not as good as the old model "5000" which naturally is no longer made. So today the one we've had for 6 years, and that my wife liked more than I did, was replaced. We had a new one installed in our bedroom and moved the 6 year old one into the guest bedroom. I've no doubt our granddaughter will love playing with it.

We had our king size sleep number for many years, replaced it with new one thinking the old one would make good guest bed, but life changed and no guest room, gave the old sleep number bed to one of our daughters.. she ordered replacement foam inserts and it is good as new. We even put one in travel trailer. I have really appreciated it with my back issues. I can vary it as needed to be comfortable.

The last 24 hours has been a bit of fun I must say on the job transition.. my coworkers that are going to be taking over my old role have been notified by manager. They have both called now and expressed their disbelief, it would not surprise me to see one or both of them changing roles in next few months.

The other opportunity that presented itself was interesting enough that I have a meeting scheduled with that manager end of the week to see if it is something I would like to do. It is currently a small team and 3/4 of them are folks I have enjoyed working with in the past. I really think it would be a good fit, but will have to see if the manager and I get along, if he believes his folks that highly recommend me. I certainly have more spring in my step now than I did 2 months ago.

Praying that the solar changes David is working on today go well and no issues.

Stay safe, prayers for those in need.

The Meyer Lemons (20 on the bush) and the hundreds of Kumquats and chickens survived the freeze and will soon be ready to harvest. (except the chickens they are still a little too hard)

The next two picks are the FrieWise clearing we did this morning and the CA mulcher was right behind us mulching all the limbs.

Eric do you have a boom on your FEL to pick up your octagon or how are you planing on picking it up without it hitting the hood?

Our garden's JD has been running on a 1/4 tank of diesel all Month so I opened up the tank and looked inside. It was bone dry. I put a note for the other tractor drivers to be sure to put fuel in it before running it and This evening, magically (like DisneyLand) 10 gallons of diesel appeared next to the tractor.

David new truck new power system you are ready for some trouble-free years.

Try putting your chickens in your InstantPot. Poultry setting for 5 hours and natural pressure release.

I’ve an idea that might help Eric lift his tank top. Titan builds an SSQA plate with a 3-point hitch on front side.

I’m ordering one soon, to allow me to put my 8’ HD 3-point Boom Pole on the FEL. I’d also use it to put my 84” landscape rake, on the front, to pull brush out from under trees.

Got the 3 missing block added. Hope to try it this weekend.
I suspect the metal ring will rust pretty quick. The instructions actually said to not get it wet, wipe it off and store inside. I should of went to a metal fabrication place and had them weld me up a heavy duty ring.

I'd just use it and ... every so often, spray the top, horizontal part, with some hi-temp black spray paint. I'm assuming you can lift it out?

2 semi truck rims welded together make a great fire pit lots of steel.

Pretty full, long day.

This was starting point

Removal got us here

Ended here for the day

Made a few adjustments along the way.
Still alot to due, but quite pleased. Installer remarked how he was enjoying working together. Already making plans this is a showcase endeavor.

Honda EU7000 doing a great job keeping us powered

Good evening all. 42F this morning, clear sky, near calm wind. Moderate wind day, sky stayed mostly clear, and high temp was 79F. Slow start to day, had to take Scooter back home, then DOD meeting recap, nap, then bike ride and then wife decided not to go shopping, pickings are getting slim around here:eek:
Roy glad trip to work was non event.
Eric nice progress, will there be install pics?
Bird let us know how the new sleep # works out, inquiring minds want to know.
RNG including blurred pic of weld, gusset added for strength, longer seat post with more engagement below weld. Bike rides fine, ridden far enough chain needs a clean and lube before Saturday. Good luck with the gravel hauler.
Randy sorry for your loss.
Drew stew sounds good.
David neat pics, do you expect to finish tomorrow? Solar panels go through the inverters as well?
prayers for all

Mostly
Hope is to finish tomorrow, but installer blocked 3 days just in case. Tomorrow will be more technical, making sure the hookup is what I envisioned and works. This is going to be a rather unique system. My primary battery backup will be my diesel generator that runs chargers to just charge the batteries, no useable AC except right at generator. This will be an autostart system based on selectable parameters, most likely battery voltage.
My propane generator will be backup to this and connected to the Radian systems inverter/chargers. It too will be based on autostart parameters, but only operate if primary is in failure mode. Of course, I could change parameters and make this primary, but hope not to.

As for solar panels, the feeds come down the grey conduit between my distribution panel and and 1st Radian on left. There are 4 feeds from 14kw of panels. Each feed will connect to one of the black charge controllers via breakers.

Left radian is 4kw, and right radian is 8 kw?
Do you have a diagram, like a 1line dwg of the layout?

Does gen charge batteries via flex max, or separate charger?

Does each charge controller have it’s own set of batteries, and how do the radians tie into these?

Correct, left is the 4048 (4kw) right is 8048 (8kw)

No, no line drawing. Likely the result of installer being familiar enough with the components and how they work together. Would be nice to have one when done. Maybe I’ll look to cut and paste some of the reference drawings at some point. Anything I made on my own sure wouldn’t be technically accurate.

The charge controllers are FlexMax 80’s.
Just one, common bank of batteries. The batteries power the Radians with 48vdc. Radians output 120/240 vac. They also in put 240vac that, I believe term is rectified to 48vdc to charge same batteries. When in charging mode the Radian supplies generator vac power to loads while rectifying to charge.

That might be just the gadget to let me use my 3pt implements on a track steer. Please let us know how it works out for you, Rick. Especially how well a scraper or box blade works being pushed instead of dragged...

So the flexmax’s are in parallel.

I’m working on your 1 line, lol. I used to do power system design in my rookie career, just never did solar.

Does the diesel gen have its own dc charger?

How do backup gen tie into radians? Into the distribution panel?

I’m guessing no permit.
