Yeah, I always let it run for a bit before I drink!

When I took over the ranch there was a lot of 'deferred maintenance' (a real estate term, = neglect) that Dad had often said 'some day this will all be your problem', with a grin. I discovered one issue was tree roots getting into the septic tank where mortar had crumbled at the inlet pipe, so I siphoned the septic tank downhill before re-grouting it. Using the long garden hoses we used to water new trees.

A few years later I bought a 1500 gallon tank for rapidly filling the orchard sprayer. If the power goes out it would be easy to run garden hoses from the tank down to the house

... but I think I'll buy new potable-grade hoses for that. :)

Well, I think I'm going to buy a Predator generator today. Probably the 4375 watt model. I have a coupon that makes it $330. Excited because I need it, but a little apprehensive.

I have one and really like it

the Predator sure has undercut Generator prices... and it seems the price is always rock bottom with a little looking.

I was really tempted but my Honda 5000 has served me beyond expectations that last 35 years...

My vision isn't the best and I've always had trouble reading the tiny black on black numbers in the case of my HF Mechanics Tool Kit. To solve the problem I went to Lowes, bought a silver Sharpie and gently rubbed the tip across each number. I did this recently and can't say how long the silver will stay on the numbers. For now, it does the trick.
I had even more trouble reading the numbers on my HF Impact Sockets. I used the Sharpie to write the size on them in an appropriate size.

Yep, I used a white felt-tip marker for this on the black impact sockets. The indented marks show up much better. I don't use the impact sockets a lot, so for me it lasts a long time.

I am quite tempted by the Predator too.
The problem: I already have a 6500W liquid cooled Honda, a 3500W Porter Cable, and a 2800W Yamaha Inverter unit.
At 79 years, I probably don't need another generator.

I have the 8700 Predator, no problems...
