I need some advice on my loader bucket. It dumps fairly slow and curls back in at almost double the speed. I put new quick connects and also swapped the fitting with another setting and it is still slow to dump only.

Is that a bad hydraulic ram or hose possibly?

Might not help but try swapping the dump hose with the curl hose and see if the result is opposite. Instead of lever to right for dump it would then be lever to right for curl. Make any sense?

Maybe you have already done this, I didn't completely understand your post.

Hey Winston, thanks for the input I have tried this with the same results

New quick connects, same results with hoses swapped, that would indicate to me the problem has to be in the cylinders or lines, however, I am clueless as to why.

Yea, I don't fully understand hydraulics so it seems weird to me that it can work fine one way and not the other. I guess the seal let's fluid pass from one direction and not the other some how?

most cylinders will retract faster than extend, less volume of oil to fill the cylinder not sure if its twice as fast. rough numbers 2" diam. w / 1" rod 24" long 1/3 gal to extend, 1/4 gal to retract

Okay maybe it's just naturally slow.

Thanks

Are you aware of and/or tired dump in Regen mode of joystick? If not, move joystick to right until it feels like hitting hitting end of stroke the push harder and it should move and you feel additional spring tension. The Regen mode shifts the valve spool further so oil from the rod end is directed to the oil going the to the base end of cylinder, mixes with gear pump flow for close to X2 flow into the cylinder.

I went out and tried it on my CT235 and although I suppose I have pushed my lever all the way to the right I have never really been aware of that dump feature. Never to old to learn. Thanks, SSdoxie.
