Clutch slipping on Case IH 275

Hello everybody,

I have a 1987 Case IH 275 4wd w/manual transmission. The problem is the clutch appears to be slipping. The tractor will not move in any gear other than 1st in low range. In any other gear and any other range the tractor will not move. When the machine hooks up in 1st gear/low range it doesn't slip at all. We took the machine apart and the clutch appears to be fine. Does anybody have any ideas on what the problem may be? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I see no one helped you at the time of your questions. I just bought my 275 with this same issue and found your post online. Thought I'd try asking you before starting a new post and likely not having any reply. Hope you recall something about it that can help me out. Thanks

had the same problem with my 275-----boughr it broke. took it apart the clutch looked ok put a pair of pliers on the sher pin-it pulled out in three peases. the peddel was real soft should have been the clue just saying.

I started a new post for this issue. In short it was the clutch on my 275. Thanks for the reply with your thoughts. I did see a YouTube of the same issue you had.
