NO tractors OR wood for me today, but I did have a job to do!

It was making butter, and the first batch is in the mould, the second in the blender,

AND here is the "pure" butter coming out of the mould,

NO preservatives or salt added!

I thought butter was made in something else besides a blender? And tomorrow morning your having home-made waffles with home-made butter and home-made maple syrup on top, sounds great.............

I've made butter on and off, since I was a kid, using many different ways, but a blender works great and is easy...

Put cream in the blender along with a little milk and blend until the cream turns to butter.

Pour the excess liquid off and pour the rest in a bowl.

Run cold water in the bowl with the butter and work the water into the butter, to wash all the milk out of it.

Press the butter with a fork and it will "clump" and the water will be pressed out of it.

Put the butter in a mould, chill it, and now you have a bar of butter.

Nice! Growing up we made it all the time but I do not recall how long it lasted in the fridge without preservatives. Butter does freeze well so you can always do that.
