This was my first real snow last week with my JD tractor and snow blower. We got over 30" over snow in 3 days here in 12168 ( upstate NY ) after cleaning my driveway and the neighbors I went to put the tractor in the garage but the snowblower would not go down. I removed the hoses swapped around checked the connections......got the owners manual out searched some forums but no answers. Nothing frozen just stuck up in the air. I spoke with the service manager rechecked everything but the only time it would lower was when you shut the tractor off. Excellent dealers service technician ( Alex from Hudson River Tractor ) comes out crawls around checks everything......still stuck up. Then he found the switch that locks the front lift arms up in the air simple as that everything works as it should. I felt like an idiot except that in none of the manuals could he or I find the toggle switch in the description or in the pictures. This is why I bought my second JD from HRT because of excellent service like this.
So if you have a front mount snowblower or blower it is to the right of the PTO switch on the right side of the console.
Peace Out.
