Good evening! 13 this morning, got to 39. 28 right now.

Really not much to say....but this was the moon this morning on the way to work. Was on I77 and pulled over for the pic. Reminds you how magnificent our universe truly is

Got my instructions from the nurse this afternoon, what to take, what not, don’t eat or drink after midnight, etc... Then I’ll have to go over it all again when I get there, but better safe than sorry.

I am enjoying the pictures posted.

The maitre de had to change our table setting when he saw an almost undetectable stain, and once he found out about our anniversary he saw that we got a free anniversary cake dessert. The meals were awesome. We had one reptilian visitor and I made another out of the champagne cork wire cap. My thumbs and fingers are not as they used to be, but I managed to make the turtle. We had one entitled, ugly American nearby that was embarrassing, but that's not my/our issue. It has been a great anniversary made even better by the +'s here.

Good evening all. 35F for the low, clear, light breeze. Wind became moderate, variable cloudy, and high temp of 56F. Rebuild fire, then Dr appt, mostly good news, a1c down, cholesterol up slightly, HDL up more than LDL, heart was checking 45 to 55 . BP was excellent. Sodium in normal range. Scooter more active today clearly recovering from surgery. Nap then bike ride this afternoon. Scooter got his walk.

Jay nice update, kinda hard to overdo pics with this crowd.
PJ nice story, went to a number of concerts with friend of mine during high school, including yes. I alway thought it was impressive how many keyboards Rick had stacked up and used all of then!
Randy sorry about your tractor title issues, had same issue when buying car for granddaughter, they cashed the check in 30 seconds took 4 months, 2 trips to dealer, and trip to STL to work it out.
Hawkeye glad you worked out stove issue and have a cheaper source for parts. They may not be better but at least they are cheaper! Also good to hear family health continues to improve.

Yes and how fortunate she wasn't born later, or with her parents obvious interest in astronomy she could have been named "Quadrantids Meteor Shower". "Luna" sounds so much better :laughing:

Nice on-the-wing pic Thomas. Shame about the missing turkeys, they are not often seen here either, except on a dinner plate at Christmas.

Hope this Friday the 13th is kind to all, especially so for Randy.

PJ, I woke up early to see 2 skunks in the yard by the moonlight. Now 2 skunks gone, 1 more left (that I know of). These 3 skunks are so differently colored/patterned.

41 out now, lots of rain starting this afternoon and going for two days. That could mean a lot of snow further North...

All of us send our prayers and best wishes for Toppop, and Ellen. Hopefully a perfect procedure and they get you out of there quickly.

garden club meeting today, xmas lunch, taking headphones so I don't have to leave when noise gets too loud. I'll look dorky but has to be.

New podiatrist rolled his eyes at the orthotics made for me, promptly made his own with medical tape, fascinating to watch. Also gave me a night foot
splint, not a full sized boot, and said I should hopefully feel improvement by Monday. Hope so. He did say I had a variety of spurs and other arthritic growths but none seemed to be causing a problem. And he gave me a variety of stretching exercises which first guy never did, and everyone says you do for plantar fasciitis, so frankly I trust this guy more.

Good morning,
temp is 26° F and going to a high of 36. Wind SSE 7 mph. Flurries.
We got about an inch on top of the inch we got the other day.

While I was out with the tractor yesterday, I spotted what appeared to be a hydraulic leak. It was, right at one of the fittings going into the curl cylinders. At first, I thought it was a blown hose, then after getting the protection cover off the pipe that holds the loader arms aligned and not seeing any leaks, I went to put the hoses back on and found the culprit. A loose fitting. Tightened it up and reassembled everything but the cover and all is well. I will 'customise' that cover today and I will never have that nightmare to deal with again. The cover is a U shaped piece of 3/16" steel that goes across from arm to arm and the hoses are underneath that. I will cut it lengthwise and cut out the two cutouts for the hoses to emerge from the underneath. Bolt it back in place and add a couple of tie wraps to tthe hoses and the job will be done.

I planned out my week so that I didn't have to go anywhere today, I am not superstitious but why tempt fate?
