BX23 rotary cutter weight limitation?

14 year old thread Inky, so the OP may not reply. The dealer put a 48" Landpride rotary mower with my BX 23 and I could not be happier. Never breaks a sweat.

Never used a flail mower, so I cannot comment on that. You would just have to determine what your main use is and go from there

I'll go out on a limb and state the OP will NOT respond based on their last forum activity being in 2006!!!

It will be interesting to see if Inky posts what is purchased and how it performs.

I'm running a 62" Woodmaxx Flail on my BX2200, and it lifts and turns it fine. It's not going to win any races or cut down 4' of brush, but for maintaining a field of 1' tall grasses, it works wonders.

The MMM/grooming mower would be fine too, but it gets too clumpy.

The flail does a great job at dispersing the clippings. I think it's easier on the machine too.
