What the **** happened?

I use to be very organized. I'd clean it up, and one week later, lts like this again. Does getting old mean you lose your ability to put things away, or is it that you are just too tired and say to yourself that you will take care of it the next day. I don't know. All the projects got done, and usually on a moments notice, yet I can't even use this bench anymore. I've lost control of it. Wondering if others have the same experience.

As long as you 'know' (approximately) where everything is on the bench, it's not out of control.

I am very organized and (usually) everything has its place, but that's a different mental condition. :laughing: My wife is the opposite - she never met a horizontal surface that did not need to be covered with her stuff.

It is Mind over Matter. You have to train yourself to pick it up and put it away after each project or job. No Exceptions (barring accidents or acts of nature.

I suffer from the same problem and I hate it. I waste more time looking for tools and parts than the time it would take to clean up.

I am slowly training myself, I get better sometimes but benches still end up like that...
