Ok, these pics have nothing to do with tractors or wood, if that bothers you I'm sorry but these were just too cool not to share.

They were taken from the end of my driveway yesterday morning of that Boeing space launch!

You DONT get pics like this from Maine!:D

Hey those are nice pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUTTTTTTTTTTTT there was a sleight problemo during take off, NASA is now saying there might of been some camera inference somewhere in SC that disrupted the flight path, and they are now offering a nice reward of $1,000,000.99 for any information of the perpetrator......... Let see what kinda tractor do I want Santa to bring me........................

"The first trip to orbit by Boeing's CST-100 Starliner crew capsule will be a short one.

Starliner has been cleared to land Sunday morning (Dec. 22), about 48 hours after launching on an uncrewed demonstration mission called Orbital Test Flight (OFT). OFT was supposed to go to the International Space Station (ISS), but Starliner's onboard timing system erred shortly after liftoff and the capsule ended up stranded in a low orbit, without enough fuel to make its appointed rounds."

The sharpener with the rollers. I have one too. The work great, really fast and easy.
You just push back on the tooth a bit, keep the file square in the unit and roll it. Hard to explain exactly, but it's much easier than other guides or jigs I have tried.

And don’t forget to make sure the arrows are pointing towards the tip of the saw and only file forward, not backwards.

Something like this>>>>>>>>>>Thompson Center Arms G2 and Pro Hunter Encore Series: Guns & Gear|S7 - YouTube HAHAHAHA, you sure that wasn't a typo on your end...........................

Yes, like those. The G2 is the newer version (generation 2) mine are of the original version.. not much difference, barrels will swap from one to the other.. lots of different calibers rifle and pistol. The Encore is its big brother and will handle larger calibers, pretty much what ever you want... the cost is size and weight! When the Encores first came out I bought in to the whole bigger is better line of thinking and traded ALL my contender stuff in for new Encore stuff. Well about a year later I sold ALL the Encore stuff and went back to the Contender line.. and never looked back. I now only own three in the rifle configuration and no handguns... but I've been jonsin for another handgun barrel so we'll see..

It is stamped "3/16 FILE" but it comes with 3 different sized file and works just fine with them all. Just wont work with the 1/8" file for my little saw. The depth gauges I just do by feel, the tools for them never seem to work so good.

Use the wrong size file with that type of guide will work better than a dull chain. However, if you look closely at the profile of a sharpened tooth, you'll see the the other sizes don't put quite the right amount of hook on the tooth. If I recall correctly, the smaller file will not sit deep enough into the tooth, resulting in less of a "C" shape to the tooth. This will cut when sharp, but is not as aggressive as it should be, and robs the saw of a bit of power. The larger file will sit a bit too deep into the tooth, putting too much of a hook on it. This results in an aggressive chain, but that narrow hook does not hold up well, so it dulls more quickly.

EDIT: Note that some years ago, Oregon started putting more hook on their full chisel chains out of the box. It makes them more aggressive, which I guess is meant to impress someone at how much better it's cutting than the old chain you took off. To make up for it, they leave the depth gauges a bit higher than their spec says (I guess in an attempt to keep that hook from getting too "grabby"). Their profile out of the box for some chains does not even match what their specs are for sharpening the chain (either for the hook or for the depth gauge setting). I'm really not a fan of this setup, and am much happier with a new chain once it's been sharpened a time or two to bring it closer to what they say their specs should be.
