If so, do you mind posting a picture of where the shift linkage attaches to the trans?

I have the 12x12 powrReverser trans. It was offered with an optional creeper gear. I am wondering where on the trans the creeper gear linkage attached

Here is what JD parts catalog shows, if it helps

I could find the two different transmissions for the PRT and will post them. Maybe you can figure the differences that might help locate the linkage.
I will search the tech manual some more, but have not found anything yet. Add that Zebrafive 's post may be just what you need...

Thanks guys, i've already looked at the parts diagrams but for what I need, i'd like to see real world photos...of course what are the chances of finding one of these with a creeper?

How about some pics of what you have on your end..? Maybe they could help trigger some advice that you could use.

I have a 4700 with the PowrReverser trans. I don't have a creeper gear so I don't know how much pictures of my trans will help someone else that has the creeper show pictures of the creeper linkage.

Are you thinking of adding the creeper? Or thinking the gears are there, but just the linkage needs to be added to shift the gear that adds the creeper?

In the first parts diagram Zebrafive posted, part number 5 ("arm"), I am wanting to know where that exits the case. I can't follow the diagrams well enough to determine. Initially I was thinking about adding the creeper gear if I could but I have an extra arm sticking out the side of the case.

I can't imagine JD installed the gears in all the transmissions and all that is needed is linkage but the tractor is 20 years old, who knows what has been done to it over the years

Different tractor, 6000 series. But I kick myself that I didn't add creeper gears when I replaced the transmission a while back. Hydrostat is one thing, but as for gears, you can never have enough of them.

Here is a schematic of the operation of the creeper gear.. so if you can figure out if it is in the tranny, and how to move it with your lever, you may have success..

Maybe this will help. This is the transmission case, left side. D = Differential Lock. G = Gear shift. R = Range shift. C = Creeper shift

And the creeper control shifter . Hoping the OP is getting some help from this. Maybe we'll hear back.

Interesting. While I have the HST version of the 4600, I would be interested in what the Creeper gear would do for you?

Do you have just the shaft coming out of the transmission case? Or also the linkage and lever?
