That's pretty awesome! I wonder if this would work effectively on other sub compact brands.

My Yanmar came with this setup, and for quick adjusting, they are great. Unfortunately, Yanmar did NOT build them near as sturdy as those in the above link appear to have been built. Yanmar over sized the holes, leaving too little metal to the sides to prevent the bar from bending...or the metal was simply too sorry...not sure which.

Bending would happen when Bushhogging and running the mower backwards or using a scraper blade running backwards. I bent the original set, and a replacement (under warranty) set, and began complaining to the dealer. They finally secured a set of 'screw type' adjusters which have worked fine since.

Funny thing....I had this same set up on previous tractor....a 1998 New Holland 1925, and never had a problem with them, using the tractor the same way......so to me, it was clearly the Yanmar ones were simply built wrong.

Current adjuster on the left. Original in the center. Original bent center section of the original adjuster on the right.
You can see the amount of metal left from the holes to the outside of the sliding section is far less than compared to the set being sold on Ebay.

To me, being able to prudently push dirt with a Rollover Box Blade, with the tractor operating in reverse, is the best of several advantages to rigid, telescoping stabilizers.

In PHOTO it is apparent how much beefier STABILWORKS aftermarket stabilizers are, relative to OEM Kubota turnbuckle 'chain' stabilizers supplied on my B3300SU.

I don't think "beefy" matters too much with stabilizers, as they are supposed to work only in tension. One side stabilizer should go into tension and check sway motion of the 3-point before the other side goes into compression.

If a stabilizer design, or a stabilizer installation, or a user's stabilizer adjustment allows one stabilizer to go into compression, then it is wrong and is transferring the wrong load to the lift arm and tractor mount. If a stabilizer bends or breaks in compression, then it's an indication something isn't right.

Look at all properly designed stabilizers, whether turnbuckle type or telescoping type, and you'll see they have a built-in relief design (often in the form of a knuckle, or a loop, or a chain link) that causes them to trip when put into compression and then become slack. When properly adjusted, this should allow the opposite stabilizer to carry a tension load.

That should not matter -- the rigid lower arms control that, not the stabilizers.

Here is a video that explains how they are supposed to function, in tension only, never compression.
