Liquid Nails,, Construction Adhesive,, Which One!??

I have been adding insulation to my basement concrete walls, by attaching foam panels to the concrete with Liquid Nails.
All went well, and the insulation is REALLY attached to the concrete,,

Well, yesterday, I decided one wall needed more insulation thickness,,
so I "Liquid Nailed" a second thickness (2") of the EPS foam board to the first,,

Well, the Liquid Nails never "cured" over night, the adhesive was still as liquid as it came out of the tube.
I read the tube, the instructions state that one of the materials must be porous,,like wood. concrete,, etc,,,,
In this case, both materials were foam board, so neither was porous,,,

I know I have to be careful to make sure the adhesive I select must be rated for foam board, so that the adhesive does not melt the foam board.

Do you have any recommendations as to what the correct adhesive might be for this non-porous to non-porous bonding application??
There is only about a hundred different tubes of "stuff" to select from when I go into Lowes,,,:confused2:

That Lepage PL adhesive is pretty impressive stuff. Dropped a dime sized blob onto my concrete apron, and later had difficulty kicking it off with my boot!

Use the glue that's recommended for foam panels. It will say right on the tube.

I would probably use Loctite PL300 Low VOC Foam board Adhesive ( Loctite(R) PL(R) 3 VOC Foamboard Adhesive ) or Liquid Nails Interior Projects & Foamboard Adhesive LN-604 ( Interior Projects & Foamboard Adhesive )

I agree. You have to read the labels to see what it will work on. I'm surprised liquid nails didn't work.

I actually asked for and have a tube of adheive for foam. Never used it.

Lepages PL 300 "Foam" board.

"Won't burn through foam".

Can't say if it's any good. If it's as good as the regular PL it should be good.

If that doesnt work plain old contact cement, just make sure it's were you want it because you don't get a second chance.
