The question is was the tailgate damage from that load, or from previous incompetent loading. Damage doesnt quite line up with the load, but things crumple funny at times.

I’d say it was that. It looks like a pretty close match. Ruining a $1000 tailgate to save a $75 delivery fee. That’s assuming they don’t ruin the tool box and break the window while they’re at it. Geniuses at work.

Mine has a lock on it. Every time the doors are locked, so is the tailgate.

The one in question though looks like he backed into a tree or utility pole.

I highly doubt that the damage there was from that pallet of siding or whatever it was. Doesn't make any sense.

Agreed. I’m sure this isn’t his first stupid move.

Looks like individually boxed- like flooring. Heavy stuff. I had a rear support that would slip into the stake pockets so you could support and tie down lumber even with the tool box. Is this truck new enough to have an aluminum tailgate?

Well, either way, at least he is strapping it down. Might even have sprung for the good clothes-line!
