Ford Jubilee/NAA engine swap.

I recently pulled the oil pan on my NAA and found my main bearings are done. I'm planning on a rebuild. But I'm picking up a flathead Ford straight 6 tomorrow and I'm wondering if anyone has put one in one of these tractors? The N series it's easy to find information on swaps but there is virtualy nothing on the NAA's. Anyone have any experience with this?

I haven't seen a flathead 6 in an NAA, but I saw this 6 cyl diesel in a hundred series. The diesel was out of a 6000 if I remember correctly but dont quote me on it lol.

Not a flathead six. Funk did make about 25 OHV six cylinder in the NAA. They are rare. The Late Palmer Fossum had one. So sure you can put that flatty 6 in. just build an adapter plate extend the radius and steering rods. extend the hood, relocate the gas tank, add a electric fuel pump and you'll be good to go. Piece of cake. A lot of work, and a ton of money. OR if you need more power just go with a 172 or 192 engine. It will bolt right in, no fuss

I wonder if one of the V8 conversion kits would be of any use in fitting the flat 6? I'm not sure if it would move things forward enough to clear the six.

No the V8 kit would not work with an inline six

The reason you see different engines in Ns is the hydraulic pump is in the rear and driven by the PTO. So you still have a quasi functional tractor when you are done.
On the NAAs you will have to contrive some way to power a pump if you want to use the 3 point.
