Starting fluid. I too use it as a last resort and it has always worked for me....and it puts a smile on my face every time too! Just be fast with the air hose to fill the tire before the inside air cools and deflates. :cool2:

I rigged up a supply line with a flow valve right at the end and use a clamp on valve. I think HF had all the parts. You clamp the fitting on the stem with the air valve off and get ready with everything. Open the valve and immediately let go with whatever your choice of dynamite happens to be. Works for me. I too bought a $100 HF air service tank and am learning how to use it successfully. Course trying to use the tank on a 6-8" rim (the small diameter ones are the hardest for me to mount) is awkward to say the least. Works good on larger fat tires that never want to seal.

On the sealing goo, I too have had to take them to a tire shop and in one instance, putting on new, crushed (must crush them to get more in the shipping container) 12 (rim) x 12 (wide) ZT mower rears, he used several handfulls but finally got them seated.....20 bucks for 2 wheels was well worth it as I couldn't do it alone.

It's prob a bit late now. But "Thrush" starter fluid is the only brand that really works well for seething beads. You may also need to remove the valve stem core to get more volume in the tire.

I've never paid any attention to Starter Fluid brand, especially when "blowing up" a tire. And the valve stem core is irrelevant since the explosion seals the tire to the rim.

Me either until we had issues with new stuff trying to mount tires.

Valve core does matter if your trying things prior to starter fluid.
