In addition, I picked up the mounting plates that I had made, yesterday. Laser cut. 7.5x5 inch and 7.5x6 inch, 1/4 inch steel plate. 80 of them. I will probably start painting them this week. I have to clean with paint thinner or mineral spirits and then prime them. Should be fun

When I built in 97 I got to watch the Hale-bopp comet as I worked well into the night. And then there were always geese flying over, sometimes very low.

Im glad the mother ship didn’t see you out there and take ypu away. But they were probably focused on San Diego.

Very cool build! I built my last home with SIP’s and found them very easy to construct with. You do have to think and plan ahead like any build and yes, there are challenges that are different than stick building.
