POWER BOX, Anyone own one or use one?

I tried looking up info on this, but for some odd reason, it's like the company never existed, no leftover info on the company is available!. very odd!.. on the last picture, on the top right side, it lists the address and telephone number, the picture of that is not large enough to read it properly, but the company was in Indiana, not New York.. I noticed the tank pressure gauge is missing too..

A friend expressed some interest but he suggested that a good plasma uses 40-50 amps, so the 20 amps is kind of lame. Maybe, why it never got sold.

Maybe the gauge got robbed, because some things had been robbed (like the electric fan) and later replaced. There is an internal tank gauge. the welder is Italian and I think, I have a brand new spare, I got years ago and never did anything with as it's three phase. But I'm impressed with the number of quality AMERICAN components.

Battery has "open cell" it will show voltage but has no "capacity".... Had battery in my PU fail that way.... Volt meter showed good voltage but dropped to almost "zero" when tried to crank engine...

Try starting it with jumpers, if it starts and runs, replace battery, life will be good....

I think it's a first for me. And just weird that it's a NEW (old) battery. I wonder if it got left on? MAYBE, just for the fun of it, I should leave a voltage on the battery and see if the cell slowly comes back. Now that I think about it, yes 11 volts is minus one cell.

I'm thinking the high current DC required would be provided by the welder output, which can go to 250 amps, and the rest of the plasma circuitry can be powered by the 20 AMP AC output easily..

Not sure I follow you. The Welder only puts out DC. 20 amps at 240 is almost 5000 watts. Not to be confused with 20 amps at 120. My plasma is on the same cart as my mig and wired into the same power cord and plug, so I don't even know what it uses for current.

Put the battery on a maintainer for several hours, and happened to notice that the orange light was on, indicating charging. Then this morning, the Green Charged LED.

Battery has a little capacity now when put on a load tester, but not enough yet. Curious if it might yet recover.
