Can hydraulic shuttle be added to a geared tractor?

OP is talking about the operator not having the physical ability to move the pedal, not a lot of whatever else is being discussed and we don't know if the person has the financial resources to replace the machine.

Then there is this idea:

Companies retrofit cars and trucks all the time for people with mobility issues. Makes me wonder if they could retrofit a tractor. Medical insurance company might even have some ideas.

The only potentially cost effective way of doing this is to replace the transaxle with a hydro shuttle transaxle from a salvage tractor.

Yes, it will be hard to find one and it will be expensive.

^^ Why not a hand lever (as mentioned) smaller cylinder or linear actuator to operate the existing clutch mechanism? Possibly something that could be securely bolted into place and able to be removed later.

I know what the thread title says, but I also read the intent of the thread to be to help the operator use his machine in spite of a physical limitation.

I didn't know you could buy a M9540 without shuttle???

I sympathize. I'd be reluctant to modify a tractor like this will require. If it doesn't work out then what do you have?

I'm in the camp of selling the tractor, use that money to buy a tractor with a system that the operator can use.

Curious to hear the solution.

Yeah but most of the respondents would rather stroke their egos and deflect the topic than make a worthwhile contribution.

Almost all reads get off topic. If not, most treads would be very short. In over 11,000 posts I would guess you have posted off topic here and there?

 And it would be possible to do.

Ideal solution is, have your wife operate the tractor and sit on the porch and enjoy a tall one.

Isn't that part of the appeal? TBN is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get.
