Sasquatch on WA traffic cam?

I find the subject fascinating.
People across different continents, and centuries, report similar sightings that can't be explained by scientific method.
You do realize that things (yet) beyond the scientific method are what the world has always called "magic" or "supernatural", etc...
Think about lightning. For thousands of years it was the Gods hurling their power to earth. Some still believe and/or refer to this belief.
Most "magic" has been explained away, or rather our reality has been expanded throughout the centuries, using scientific method.
Scientific method is about things being repeatable. However it's still hard for this method to prove "one offs" and rare events where we don't know all the conditions that make something repeatable .

What we can't deny is people are seeing something. But what is the phenomena?
A rare animal that's good at hiding? This would be the most "realistic" explanation, within the framework of how we know of reality, but where's the trail cam photos?
Some phenomena that is only visible temporarily?
- Looking through a time warp of a past animal? (How do I know that a deer I see in the field isn't a time warp from the past?)
- Alien visitor?
The power of suggestion?
Do we live in a reality that is the projection of our "thoughts" or "understandings"? (Think about how much science fiction (of our youth) becomes reality. How if we imagine it, we usually find a way for it to becomes reality. etc...)

I'm throwing a lot of far-out, crazy ideas out here.....and have no idea what the root of this phenomena is..my point being....we don't know everything about the world and scientific method has it's limits (but it's the best method we have).

I sort of like a world where's there's still magic.

FYI...mr gullible...! The most compelling physical evidence that has ever been found has all been DNA tested and come back as known species of wildlife...sorry to burst your (gullible) bubble...:laughing:

Yes, I want A LOT MORE!.. You have not given us anything... so yes, more would be great. Lets see those DNA test reports from a reputable scientist or university saying"" Well we have tested this sample and it doesn't match anything on this earth we have ever seen before" AND let that test be repeatable and have multiple samples. YES I WANT MORE. A lot more. Yes the testing of scat is a common way of getting some DNA to actually test.

Come on man... show us some proof other than just a belief. OK you believe, I get that. I neither believe, nor dis-believe. I just want some proof. Any proof. Every "hair sample" of a yeti including the one the monks in nepal have kept for centuries has been proven to be other animals. So far there hasn't been a shred of tangible evidence. I think it would be neat if a large apelike creature was stalking around in the woods, and was actually found. And why are you so pizzed off and calling me a sheeple. Don't you agree my open mindedness and adherence to scientific method in requiring proof set me apart from popular culture? Why are you calling me a "sheep". I don't see the logic. Please explain, and please do so in a calm and coherent manner.

Come on MossRoad! Surely you aren't implying diving rods are NOT genuine? I've been looking for a year for a spring on our property, and was just getting ready to resort to the "tried and true" (as sworn to by many old timers) to finally finding that spring.

I live in an isolated area of northern MI. Many of the locals would likely shoot a Sasquatch if one was sighted. I have a gun standing by the corner of the door and I am not alone. But I doubt I would shoot. More of a chance that some jackass is trying to scare us than a Yeti wandering around.

I was wondering on the original posters link to the twitter account, how everyone accounted for the two different times of day or maybe even different days of the two photo's. One in full sun with long shadows and the other overcast and much lower light, and old "squatch" is still right their, right foot still off of the ground... Ha ha. And he is SOOOO black too... hum, kinda like a plywood cutout sprayed with black paint?

That's not true. Dr. Ketchum's DNA study came back half-human, half something else. The study destroyed her career.

I have tried them and they do work...with a condition. I have traced my sewer line, water line, found water (proven by drilling), etc. Problem is sthat in EVERY case I either knew in advance where they were or topography and physical location said they had to be about there. In the case of water? We are on top of a huge ancient aquifer. Poke a hole anywere and you will hit water. The final proof for me that they were bogus was when my system sprang a leak somewhere. Well outfit on the guess it was in the well, sent a phone tech out to mark their line while I was gone. I came back to find lines and arrows sprayed on the ground. Tried my rods. Yep, something there alright. Turned out they were nothing but directions to lay new lines if needed. Tried my rods again and NOTHING. What is making those rods cross is beyond me. I can't feel anything I am doing.
