kubota or mahindra

Sucked in what way ?.Maybe be a little specific instead of just spouting the drivel that you constantly spew..

Just a sorry tractor. The brakes sucked, the clutch sucked, the gear shifting ability sucked. The loader controls are about as crude as it gets, the 3pt hitch control wasn’t much better. The list of what is good would be a lot shorter.

Sounds more like a Soviet era Belarus.

BUT, they will probably be around long after more sophisticated tractors are dead and gone.

I call BS on that unless you mean in compact tractors. In the above 100 pto horsepower market, JD is far an away the leader. If not, care to provide a substantiating link???? I don't mean an individual opinion post, I mean an industry link...

No thats about right for the US, but it is covering all lines. You could be right certain class' I am sure JD does better. In the smaller stuff JD isnt even close

Probably not wrong but you could still at least make a precise simple piece. I use my machine enough that it’ll be someone else’s problem by the time the electronics go bad.

It probably depends on how you divy up the market and how you calculate it. Number sold? Value of those sold? If it's the latter, how many compacts do you have to sell to equal one JD 9 series? Basing decisions on popularity can be a loser anyway. Sometimes things are popular for a reason and sometimes they're not....

Kubota put out a press release when they crossed 51% some years ago, which was the first time they shared an actual number (51% indicated they were #1, which is why they bragged about it). I am sure you can find it with a google search. There was a thread on here where people cross compared that with data from AEM.org to make estimates. Came out to Deere and Kubota making up about 75% of the US market, so subtract 51% from that and you have Deere's approximate market share.

No doubt if you separate out to certain HP classes some brands are ahead of others. And there are some classes some brands don't even compete in. But the market share numbers are for units sold in a manufacturer's whole US lineup.

To the OP: Spend some seat time on both if possible then base your decision on that. I can offer this tale from my personal experience when shopping for my first tractor last year: I was convinced from countless hours of research that the "X" brand tractor/model was going to be the one for me. Until I actually sat on it at the dealership. I'm short and fat both, and the work station didn't fit me at all. The pedals and steering wheel were both way too close for comfort, even with the seat all the way back. I was really struggling to use the HST pedals driving it around the lot, and I couldn't reach the loader control lever without having to lean forward and hunch over the steering wheel, because I have short arms to boot. Total monkey vs. football scene. I was pretty crestfallen. Would have been a great tractor I'm sure, but I knew it would be a mistake to get something I was that uncomfortable on. Back to the drawing board. Went to a "Y" and "Z" dealership that same day, and found a tractor of the same size/HP as the "X" tractor I had driven earlier, that had ergonomics like they were made specifically for me. It felt great. Pedals, steering wheel, loader controls, all easy for me to use. This tractor was more expensive than the "X" tractor I had set out to buy originally, but I don't regret getting the one that felt "right" for me. ( The names of these tractors have been changed to protect the innocent, and to not fan the flames of this thread any further.) Best of luck with your decision!

Trying to decide on new tractor got it down to two I think kubota grand 3560 or mahindra 1635hst no cabs/with a loader only on either tractor,,always had kubotas but I am not sure on the DPF on the kubotas anyone with pros and cons of each thanks

Mahindra claims a mCRD technology which meets Tier IV compliance stating "This means no excess heat or burn off and less complexity for the operator".
So basically Mahindra's "new" technology uses a detoxification catalyst which just means that instead of burning hot for a little bit (Regen) it burns hot all the time. Slight of hand and deceptive.

If deciding between the two, buy the Kubota.

Search on market share shows in (Wikipedia) that Mahindra is the largest selling tractor manufacturer by volume in the world.

And LEGO is the biggest tire manufacturer in the world. See how that works? lol
