TC35 QA and 3rd Function Switch Install

I wanted to run a grapple for storm cleanup and bit the bullet and installed a QA and 3rd function setup. Bought the QA pieces off Amazon and the 3rd function kit off everythingattachments.com, could not be any happier. I had welding shop do the QA install and I installed the 3rd function. Everything went smoothly but still getting use to the QA setup.

I have the same tractor and built a grapple for it. Not near as nice as what you've got, but plenty useful. I current utilize my rear hydraulic tilt control for the grapple by swapping hoses. Over time I've accumulated most of the parts needed to install a true 3rd function. It's my understanding I need to insert the valve I purchased (3 position, open center, double solenoid) into the power beyond circuit. Removing the shroud from the FEL joy stick, I see one the hard piped connection port labeled PB. Can I asked where you tied your 3rd function solenoid into? I assume you replaced the hard pipe with flexible hose reach the new solenoid/valve? Any information concerning routing and connection points would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Dan,

I just ran the hot wire off the battery, I paid close attention to routing it so it wouldn稚 get snagged on any underbrush. In regards to all the hoses and connections the kit was turnkey and plug n play. Pretty simple installation after I read the instructions a couple of times. If you need some pictures I can take them for you, probably won稚 go out to the farm until Tuesday though.

Thanks for the prompt reply Griff. I'm in good shape concerning wire routing to power and the joy stick. Not knowing where I'll be mounting Solenoid valve, I've left myself a lengthy service loop. I'd greatly appreciate some photos showing the valve/connection points (on the tractor) that supply your 3rd function valve as well as where the outlet side of the valve reconnects to tractor circuit. I'm thinking there should also be a return from the 3rd function valve back to the hydraulic reservoir. Any photo's of that would also be great. Because I've pieced-mill my system together, I don't have diagram specific to my tractor to work off of. Speaking of which, if you still have it, could you shoot a copy of the one you used? Or perhaps it's available on line?

Don’t have the install instructions, I believe you can download them online though, there may be a YouTube video on it also. I’ll take pics on Tuesday and post them for you.
