Now it makes sense. I looked at the guy and didn't quite think it was her hubby but some kind of delivery person. Now I see the ice in the fridge.

Hey, I wonder if they ever thought of making Almond coloured appliances. I really hate ugly white appliances. I still have a brown Kenmore stove that I just love the color of.

I was told that the cheaper the stainless, the more apt it is to be magnetic. More steel than nickle or some such thing.

I think you'll find a nice supply of Avocado Green and/or Autumn Gold around for cheap. Remember 'back in the day' when that was the craze, along with some real nice shag carpet?

Looks like Maytag is the only manufacturer with 10 year on the compressor, all models. I think I'll buy a standard top freezer and hope they didn't put to much electronics in it.

For what it's worth, I would prefer a fridge that you can clean the critical parts. My GE Profile is almost impossible to clean the coil underneith. In fact the sound proofing collapsed cutting off the critical air supply to this poor performing fridge. I had to stick mesh in there to restore air flow. Been meaning to drag the whole beast out on the porch and blow it out with compressed air.

I even cut the drywall out at the bottom behind the fridge and put in a grill above the cupboards to create some additional air flow.

I remember when the manual used to recommend removing the lower facia and use you vacuum crevice tool to clean the coils. Now we are too dumb to be able do that because we might sue. Anybody with house cats should be cleaning more often

I'm trying to train mine to puke on the screen porch where the litter boxes are, doubt success. I hate stepping in it at night, I don't walk around in the dark anymore.
