Wife got a dud Maytag washer. Three times out and they bought it back and replaced it with an Amana. Works for me.

Goodman owns / manufactures Amana A/C systems and furnaces.

Amana appliances are manufactured / owned by Whirlpool

Speed Queen. Speed Queen was founded in 1908 and has been under a few different companies. In the 1980s, they were based in Massachusetts as a subsidiary of Raytheon. Speed Queen is currently a subsidiary of Alliance Laundry Systems and is based in Wisconsin.

I think they are all going to be about the same. Anymore, Many use the same parts and compressors. made in china, etc,.
just flip a coin.
The one you choose could last 50 yrs, or it could last 50 months
Same thing I tell people about A/C systems. Unless you get something exoitc. just flip a coin and hope the person that installs it does a good job

I am seeing some freezers marketed as Garage Ready where the compressor is (not sure) heated in colder weather so the refrigerant separates correctly (again, not sure). Does anyone have experience with this? GE is one of the brands. Talking freezer only units

Garage ready units have a small heater used to “trick” the units thermostat so the compressor runs in colder temps.
