I thought the video in the OP was entertaining, and it made some good points. Regarding the teenage activists in general, I try to withhold personal judgement.

I usually disagree with their position, and I think the world gives them too much attention. When I compare their behavior with what I was doing at that age, I have difficulty looking down on them.

I think that's precisely the point. She professes to know more about the environment at age 14 than I did at age 50, a BS degree, a JD degree and 25 years scientific and environmental experience.

His argument seems to be similar to saying that using wood to heat your house is a similar carbon footprint to burning fuel oil because chain saws use gas.
