L6060 vs Mx6000

The B3350 had a ton of problems with the DPF system and is being replaced. But the systems on the L and Grand L models have been super reliable. Can't think of any problem reports here on TBN.

The 3350 used a reformer which really isn't practical for a small displacement diesel engine.

Let's get back on tract and keep it l6060 or mx6000 for me and others that will be comparing the two against each other. Thanks .

Neither have I.

The average homeowner uses a compact tractor 60 engine hours per year. Perhaps OP will use his tractor 100 hours per year. Projecting a conservative service life of 3,000b engine hours for DPF that equals 30 years of tractor use.

Provided that along the way it don't have issues. That is the rub and once you exceed the federal mandated 5 year emission component warranty, it's all on your dime. I might add, none of it is cheap either.

I have been kicking tires too... I think the issue is what you are doing with it. The L6060 has more lift do to a heavier duty front axle. the L6060 weighs more.. Has the Glide shift (if I am not mistaken) vs HST. For me the MX is a better fit. Price... Matters to me, and the L6060 has a bigger foot print. I don't wasn't a bigger footprint than my MX4800. My MX regens about every 65 hours. I have has zero issues... The only reason that I was looking was the cab.

No glide shift on L6060, and wheelbase is different by only .2" (MX slightly longer). MX does have larger front tires.

Get the L6060. It's the Cadillac of the tractor world. If you can afford it, don't conjure up reasons to get anything else. The lift capacity difference in not worth mentioning. Take a little less on your scoops. How often are you moving mountains of Earth? The hstc is divine. Stall guard is sweet. I moved 400 yards of top soil in an afternoon once with out even an attachment in the back for ballast. Full heaping scoops no problem. It's just overall so smooth and powerful.

Odd, was about to call you out on the no GST, but I looked at the build site & that's correct. The L5460 & L6060 can only be speced with HST+. The L5060 can only be speced with a GST. L4760 with HST+ or a GST. The smaller Grands can be speced with HST+, GST or a fully synchronized manual. I thought all the Grands had the same tranny options.

Personally I think GST or Powershift type trannies are ideal for ag due to their efficiency. But HST is where it's at for the ease & precision of use for a CUT doing varied tasks.
