Recommend me a quality M2C-134-A hydraulic fluid

TL; DR. Recommend me a quality fluid meeting the spec above.

Dad and I recently picked up a Ford 1500 his grandfather bought new back in 1980. Dads cousin bought it from him and is now downsizing and moving into town. He knew dad always liked it so he gave him a call.

Has about 1500 hrs and we are going be replacing all the fluids. What is a decent fluid meeting the spec in the title? It is my understanding that the letter at the end is just the revision level. I think it is at D now.

TSC sells fluids meeting that spec. It is also my understanding that Kubota UDT and UDT2 meet it as well.

TSC premium trans/hyd fluid will work great or Blains farm supply universal trans/hyd fluid which is a great citgo product. I’ve been using them for many years in my ford/new Holland’s with zero issues.

Unless it's hydrostatic a universal tractor fluid will work well. TSC house brand is fine. If you have to flush the system VP racing or the junk from Wal-Mart is fine for that.

A and B are the original trans-hydraulic fluids. Moving up to C and D you get into hydrostatic rated oils which are identified by the word "Premium" in the title. Usually for the A-B oils you find the spec J303 listed and for the Premium you usually see JD J20C listed. I run 303 type oils in my 2000 and 3000 Fords because they are old school with no modern conveniences. The 3910 gets Premium only because it has wet brakes, otherwise is equipped as the other two. The Bransons gets Premium because they have hydrostatic steering, wet brakes, and on the 6530 shuttle shifting.
