HF 30% Off Coupon thru March 1 2020 (limit five $10 items)

Did anyone post this here already?

I bought three pairs of the yellow leather gloves, a bundle of 10 angle grinder cutoff blades, and the collapsing camp lantern. The gloves never seem to be on sale any more so this was a good price. The other two items were a few cents cheaper than the present coupon prices.

Yep, I bought 3 sets of those gloves too, and a pair of a different style to try out..

Well here's an interesting thing. A few days ago HF sent me an e-mail asking me to rate the items I bought. I went and rated the pipe expander, badly of course with a picture of the failed tool. Curious I just went on to check the reviews. No new ones since August, that's peculiar. :D

My reviews sometimes take a week or more to show up. They review them before posting - in theory just to assure they don't contain profanity or other unacceptable content. They also probably look to make sure there is nothing slanderous or libelous, since they can be sued for allowing such content on their web site.

I've actually had more trouble with Northern Tool not publishing some unfavorable reviews of mine. On one review of a Cant hook that was junk, I followed up and pressed repeatedly, they finally made reference to slander/libel concerns, but could not tell me what the actual concern was (nor did they ever contact me to say that the review had been denied). I submitted revised reviews 3 times, and it never appeared. After much pressing and making myself annoying, they said it had to do with my reference to a "bad weld". I had mentioned that the tip broke off the hook after about a dozen uses and that closer examination revealed that the weld was bad. Their claim was that this was just an opinion. I rewrote it to just state facts: "the weld holding the tip on broke after a dozen light-duty uses", with no opinion expressed as to whether the weld was good or bad, and they finally let it go through.

I see HF has the 12 ton hydraulic gear puller on sale for 79 bucks this month. First time I've ever seen it on sale in years. I recommend it, especially for pulling frozen or stuck on disc brake rotors and drums. 3 pumps and it's off. I think mine is rats behind.

So I bought a Banks roofing nailer last week 15deg Coil Roofing Nailer for a little building I needed to put a roof on. The nailer had a bunch of good reviews and I will say that after doing my little roof the gun worked without a hitch! Had a 20% off coupon to so it was like $95!

I think anything under three stars gets lost.

Not on topic--I wrote a review about a camera on one of the box stores' website. giving it 4 stars with a comment that the only complaint was that the lenses included were autofocus only. I got a reply that there was a technical problem and to try again at a later date. Tried again at a later date, with similar comments. Got the same response.
