John Deere 755c track Loader, John Deere 755bCase 431, Ford 2600, Taylor 25000lb forklift Ford 755 , Schramm 300 Pneumatractor, 8N Ford , Gravely 10A Kubota KH191, 1970 John Deere garden tractor with blade, 1985 John Deere 265 garden tractor Case 431
Yesterday I was given an old 110 series JD the number is T0647 167695M
this says it was made in 1970 no hood or engine and the frame has been cobbled up some Not sure exactly what my plans are for it just now
I know new they had a n 8 hp engine on them but the transaxle looks like it could easily handle a slightly larger engine

If you put $400-500 into it you might have a mower worth $100 if you can find a sucker willing to buy it. First off, I have no idea where you can find parts for it, certainly nothing new is available.

I have plenty of mowers could care less if I put a deck under it but I have a good 48" 3 blade deck I could adapt under it if I wanted.
I have a 10 or 12 Hp cast iron Koehler block and head and all new parts to rebuild it but I am thinking about using a 14.5 hp Briggs& scrap iorn engine that I have that only needs a new carburetor
This thing weighs twice as much as my 18 hp. Kubota and has larger tires so it would be better in the garden

Granted, ypu rarely get out of what you put into the garden tractors. They are fun to rebuild and play with however. There are furums like this one that just talk about garden tractors as a hobby, as well as Facebook groups etc. Used parts are not that hard to come by. Better to start with a complete tractor though, maybe use this one for parts.

That would have had a Kohler K. The trans could handle a 10 or 12 hp easilly, I would think. Here is the Tractor Data page for them.

I presently have a '64 model 110 round fender (s/n 12773) completely apart, with all parts sandblasted and painted. 8hp Kohler engine overhauled, and ready to assemble.. but fuel tank is kaput and can't get motivated to re-assemble until I find one.. picked up a model 110 used tank in good shape but it was for a newer flat fender 110 and the tank is slightly wider by 1/2 inch so doesn't fit under the round fender hood. On the hunt for a good one now.

Frank: Hope you keep us informed how your 110 progresses.. All fun to do, when time permits.

I know a lot of people who get very involved when it comes to rebuilding things like cars trucks lathes mills and large ag equipment and even the smaller lawn tractor varieties, every nut bolt plaques and the most innocuous parts have to be perfect replacements of the factory originals or at least period correct.
I'm a black sheep SOMETIMES when it comes to these things I might head off in the direction of a resto-mod and have even been accused of ratting some of my builds just because it suited me to do so.
Here is 1 of many Welding machine rebuilds I have done you judge for yourselves.

Only the pain a few bolts the decals and some plastic bits were replaced everything else was straightened

But this was my favorite welding machine rebuild it had many missing parts all of the missing sheet metal I had to custom fabricate by buying and making special tools to replicate the missing side covers

If you cut the frame right behind the front wheel mounts and lengthen the frame out 3 feet a small block Chevy v8 will fit nice.
