How many people have to change their clocks tonight?

Since my life has little structure or routine, it was not uncommon for me to wait, even weeks before making the fall change. Then, I would do it when I needed the extra hour. In addition to my Big 24 hour LED clock, this would really mess with some visitors.

EDIT: Just watching a documentary on Amazon Founder Bezos. He doesn't use a clock to get up either and certainly doesn't get up early.

I routinely cross time zones and a half dozen times a year I cross over and back the international date line. Just amazed at the fuss here of having to set your 'clocks' twice a year. Jet lag is my problem.

A few weeks ago I read a story in an Irish paper about the EU stopping the time change nonsense. A quick search came up with quite a few hits but here is one, EU to recommend end to changing clocks twice a year | World news | The Guardian.

Looks like the EU has to change their regulations and then the countries can do what they want with time. Since so many people do not like the time change it would seem the EU will stop moving time around.

Later,
Dan

Another year, another time change. I'm really going to miss that hour of sleep tonight.

Well, with all the phones the MTSO (Mobile Telephone Switching Office) takes care of the time change. The DVR is taken care of by the cable company. Leaving the microwave and cookstove upstairs (the microwave downstairs doesn't keep good time by itself anyway}. The computers all take care of themselves. The two way radios are set to UTC (Universal Time Coordinated aka GMT) so no worries there. There are a couple of wall clocks I will get to some day. The clocks in the cars when I get around to it. But the ones we rely on for time are all automatic. So not much to do. And we really don't care what time it is anyway. We don't have to go to work or anything. :)
