It's new. It's not like the flu. It spreads more rapidly. It overwhelms and has out run ways to contain and test for it.
^^ That's the hype they want you to buy into.

Well, Mississippi was in that boat. The numbers speak for themselves. Better yet, come to where I live and see if you can get a test for it.
I think my statement pretty much outlines what is going on. No hype.
Well the dow futures are down over 1,000 again.
Mississippi announced we have 0 confirmed cases and have tested over 35 people.
No test, no problem.
Well, Mississippi was in that boat.
But then someone went and got tested, Mississippi reports COVID-19 patient recently traveled to Florida
Darn, apparently some test kits leaked out.
Perhaps the ostrich mentality will change.
Dow futures over -1200.
After seeing how bad this is getting in Europe, and knowing we are at the same level of infection today that Italy was just 2 weeks ago, there will be much more strict orders coming from our state and community levels across the US. I'm betting we'll have many more orders within a couple days so we don't have to ration ventilators in 2 weeks.
Many more orders now in effect just 12 hours after I posted this. Hopefully these lockdowns and cancellations (and the many more to follow) can keep us within our hospitals' capabilities. Slow the roll, and let the process play out over the next year (rather than a 1 month burst) which will help us all in many ways.

Yes. Don't over run the hospitals. I posted about flattening the curve. That's what it is all about now.
