Very logical solution to the extremely high cost of education today.

Cost of education is due to the flood of student loan money that became available several decades back. The higher ed business raised prices to suck it all up, which is why cost in that industry have outpaced inflation by 2-3 times. Go back to paying cash for it, (directly or scholarships) and you'd see the pricing return to levels that match the service provided.

Two in Austin Texas just reported. They were travelers and now quarantined. Lots of cancelations here also. Austin Rodeo (250,000 people attend).

There was a pandemic in 2009. Here's a link to see how it went. Different animal, but a lot of the same symptoms and problems with them. 29 flu pandemic - Wikipedia

A day or two ago someone posted a link to an interactive map that showed U.S., and you could click on individual states and counties. Now I can't find it.
...but then someone else later said that some links on this thread were malware, but didn't specifically say this one was.
Edit #2: They didn't say links on THIS site are malware, but that others on the internet are.

Does anybody have the link and know its ok....or have another good link?
Thanks.

Our state's health director has been working with pandemic experts, and the estimates they are providing are just that, estimates. They are based on historical data. Everything they've been stating and projecting has been coming true. They've been saying the numbers of cases are doubling every 6 days, and that's been the case nationwide. Based on that, and the estimate of 100k current infections in Ohio, that also projects out to 4 - 6 weeks to our peak. Look back at the comments on this thread from the first day, then 6 days later, and then yesterday's comments. There's a dramatic shift in the tone as this virus is spreading. Look what's happening in Italy, and read some of the pleas from those people. None of what I'm saying is meant to be fearful, but to wake people up so they take precautions, stay away from large group settings so the spread can be controlled better. The virus will come and go and not be dangerous to most of us, but there is a small percentage who's life depends on this thing playing out over a longer timeline so they can get proper health care.

Here it is a day later and still only 5 confirmed cases in Ohio, yet you say 100,000 are infected in Ohio.
Imagine that.
I guess 99,995 can not be found.

"confirmed cases"

You realize the testing in the U.S. is a joke right?
Nobody has any clue how many people are infected in the U.S.

As of a few days ago, in a country of 329 million people, the U.S. has tested 1700 people.
South Korea had tested 189,000

I posted a link from John Hopkins, there were others in the Good Morning thread.

Note: There is something amiss with the CDC site on reporting US numbers now. Odd.

Up to this point, you couldn't get tested unless you had a fever, cough, shortness of breath, AND traveled overseas to a country on the 'hot' list within the past 14 days; OR if you were in the hospital with acute lower respiratory illness with no other diagnosis to explain the symptoms; OR you came in contact with someone who already tested positive. That eliminates nearly everyone from getting tested. That's the point of the estimates, since they can't test everyone to get a true number. Why are people afraid to admit this is spreading and luckily most people are getting mild cases?

It is an airborne virus. All of this surface cleaning is mute if the person with it is breathing around you. No need to wear gloves. Just wash your hands well and keep them away from your mouth (however this will do little to stop transmission as it is airborne). It is good practice for all communicable disease.

"All of this surface cleaning surface is mute"

What can be "mute" about a surface cleaning?
Surface cleaning has always been unable to speak.
Maybe....MOOT ????
