Hi folks...gravelman here..hope you are all safe and healthy im looking for advice on buying a 5 foot rotary cutter brush hog. I have had JD, Bushhog and Befco.. i have a 4 foot Befco but blades are difficult to change. Im a one person show. So im looking for something that is EASY to change blades and can stand some rough use. i hook up to a Kubota 2650 thanks

I don't know what you mean by easy, They are all about the same on the newer mowers cut out on the top of the deck the get to the blades, Woods has a keyhole keeper with a small bolt to hold it in I just got a BB60X but have not changed or sharpened the blades.....

Deere might makes a bolthole to remove blades on their smaller mowers. Most bush hogs are pretty much the same, but Deere offers a double deck design. Theres an upper sheet metal top and a lower metal layer to absorb the dents. My big Deere CX-15's are 5 years old. Paint looks excellent and no "bumps" from rocks or stumps in the sheet metal. I had Woods units prior to that and after a few years, they had bumps all over the decks, the paint cracked and they rusted. Full disclosure-I cut some rough ground. If you dont, a single deck layer may work out for you.

ok on both counts..thanks for the diagram..i you tubed Woods and there is a blerb about new features but it did not demonstrate how the blade change goes...except to say it is easy and can be done in the field...i guess i will stop at dealr and take a close look...
